Technical Data
Steel pellets in small cylinders are obtained by cutting high carbon steel wire into pieces the diameterThe chemical composition and drawing process allow obtaining a wire with high tensile strength up to 2200/2400N/mm2
Therefore, it differs significantly from other types of abrasives for sandblasting in general and from cast steel sand in particular, because the grains have the same size and the same chemical-physical characteristics
In addition, the nature of the material (drawn wire) and the production system exclude the presence of impurities and grains with inclusions, cavities, blowing, cracks, etc.
Wear resistance, high abrasive power, the ability to generate and, above all, to maintain constant a certain roughness and, if properly run, the ability to produce the "Almen effect" in the granulation process characterize peening/peening
Granulation from cylinders offers the following advantages compared to other types of abrasives:
- reduction of sandblasting time for the same degree of finishing required (SA 2 – SA 2.5 – SA 3);
- reduction of abrasive consumption;
- reducing the wear of spare parts of the sandblasting machine;
- reduction of dust in the system from the abrasive;
- white metallic finish.
