Properly angled and pointed thermoset resin particles are the ideal means for surface blasting, avoiding removal of material from the part.

The line of plastic abrasives, originally developed for stripping aircraft fuselages, due to its ability to cause no damage to the delicate aluminum substrate, is now used in a very wide range of applications such as: sandblasting molds for plastics and aluminium. parts, deburring and sandblasting of composite materials, epoxy materials, polyester and glass fibers.
Cleaning molds with conventional abrasives always tends to remove material, roughening the surface and often altering its critical dimensions. Sandblasting with plastic abrasive instead allows cleaning the mold without changing the surface or changing its dimensions.

It can be used with free jet blasting and in compressed air or vacuum blasting cabinets.
